DBS Reduces Cost of Certificates

  • DBS Reduces Cost of Certificates

It has been announced by the Disclosure and Barring Service that from the 5th October 2026 the cost for new DBS applications will reduce in line with a recent assessment of cost to undertake the relevant checks.

What does this mean for Education and Social Care Workers?

From the 5th October it will cost £41.00 + admin fee for an Enhanced DBS then £15 per year for the Update Service (making your DBS portable and useable by multiple companies).

LT Support are pleased to confirm that this means DBS checks undertaken through us will cost £47 from the 5th October (including admin fee) which is down from our current low cost of £55.50. With the update service reducing by £1 per year this means your total initial outlay will now be £63.

When applying for a DBS via LT Support we will need to see at least one item of photographic ID and two proofs of address. Please click here for more examples.

The update service can be applied for during application of within 30 days of issue of your certificate. We will send you the link as soon as your dbs is on its way to you or click here to access.

Remember to keep your certificate safe as the update service is only valid with your hardcopy certificate.
