    Updated Registration Information

We are pleased to advise that there is an extension to the current guidelines for remote registration and until the 30th September 2022, LT Support will still be able to register you remotely using the below guidelines:

    • Registering candidates will be asked to submit a scanned copy or a photo of their original documents via email or using a mobile app
    • We will arrange a video call with registering candidates – asking you to hold up the original documents to the camera and check them against the digital copy of the documents, recording the date we made the check and marking it as “adjusted check undertaken on [insert date] due to COVID-19”
    • if the registering candidate has a current Biometric Residence Permit or Biometric Residence Card or has been granted status under the EU Settlement Scheme or the points-based immigration system we will use the online right to work checking service while doing a video call – the candidate will be asked to give us permission to view their details. From 6 April 2022, all biometric card holders will evidence their right to work using the Home Office online service only. We will no longer be able to accept physical cards for the purposes of a right to work check even if it shows a later expiry date.

In the future we will be introducing IDVT checks for all British and Irish registering candidates. This is a new process which will involve digital verification of your Identity through an online platform . This will replace the first two guidelines above from the 1st October 2022. We are currently running checks on potential partners for this and look forward to making an announcement in the coming months to advise of the change to our registration process.

The new process will then further speed up your registration process making it easier to apply for work and DBS checks.
